Derrick V. Williams

Derrick Williams has over fifteen years’ experience serving as a city prosecutor for the City of Mobile, criminal defense attorney, and a plaintiff’s attorney.  Derrick has handled a variety of cases, including violent crimes, property offenses, discrimination disputes, personal injury, housing, probate, and bankruptcy matters.  Derrick has an exemplary track record of fighting for his clients, regardless of the situation or circumstances.

When not fighting for the rights of his clients, Derrick is teaching paralegal students as an adjunct professor at both Faulkner University-Mobile Campus and the University of South Alabama. For the past six years Derrick has taught an array of subjects, including Criminal Law, Evidence, Property, Torts, Contracts, and Legal Research and Writing. He has also lectured at the Regional Seminar for Municipal Court Officials for the Alabama Judicial College.

Derrick is a Municipal Judge for the City of Chickasaw, and serves as legal counsel for the Mobile County Republican Executive Committee. He is legal counsel for the Grand Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Chairs the Criminal Practice Section of the Mobile Bar Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for   Feeding the Gulf Coast and the Bayou La Batre Housing Authority.

Derrick is also a member of the Mobile Optimist Club and the Beta Omicron Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Reginald L. Williams

Reginald Williams is a trial lawyer specializing in employment discrimination litigation. A graduate of the Tulane University School of Law and Dartmouth College, Reginald was previously an investment consultant at one of the world’s largest asset management firms and has served as a federal law clerk.

Nichelle L. Williams

Nichelle Williams (Nix) previously served as the first Director of the Alabama Office of Minority Affairs when she was sworn in as a member of the Governor’s cabinet in May 2016.  Nichelle served under two administrations, having been reappointed in 2017 and 2019, and advised the Governor on policy issues affecting women and minorities in the areas of economic development, education, health, civil rights, and empowerment.  Nichelle also worked closely with Alabama’s fourteen Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), crafting the Alabama HBCU Initiative for the State.  Under this agenda, Nichelle successfully created the Alabama HBCU Co-Op Program, an innovative work development and diversity program aimed at connecting employers and HBCUs – a first for the state of Alabama and first program of its kind in the nation.

Prior to serving in the Governor’s Cabinet, Nichelle handled governmental affairs at one of Alabama’s largest law firms; served as Director of a nonprofit in Mobile; worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., as Legislative Counsel to a former member of Congress, and worked as a Healthcare Fellow in Montgomery, Alabama.
